The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) is the leading health service accreditation organization in Canada for nearly 50 years . New Mowasat Hospital has voluntarily signed a contract with CCHSA as an external review process that provides health care organizations with a system that assists in demonstrating their responsibility to patients and communities. Accreditation is an internationally recognized and respected evaluation process used globally. The primary benefits of accreditation are:

•  Deliver safe and reliable care to patients
•  Evaluate and contribute towards a continuous improvement of the quality of health services.

Many issues have been taken under consideration for our Accreditation. Through committed efforts, we plan on enhancing our patient care, as well as our delivery of service, with dedicated staff collaborating for strictly one purpose, our patients.

With our "Peer Review' evaluation (prepared by professionals outside the organization) they commence with an on-site survey with the same set of standards used by the institution to complete the self assessment and to reassure, independently, the compliance of the organization. To understand our patients' needs this evaluation does not only focus on employees for the organization but our patients and their families. Their input, experience, perceptions, and expectations are considered and recognized. Data from this survey is then compiled in a summarized report outlining strengths and areas of improvement. Recommendations are prepared to aid the organization by improving weak areas and maintaining their strengths by developing plans.

For this accreditation to succeed effectively, all teams must work together in harmony and provide all information in a detailed manner. Through these persistent and continuous efforts we are following our mission and working for a common goal, constant improvement. This will ensure our accreditation and raise our level of service to our patients and community.
