Dietary Services

• HACCP is a preventive food quality system whose aim is to ensure the safety of any food process from its start to the end product. HACCP will almost decrease to zero the risk of any food born illnesses. New Mowasat Hospital  was the first private hospital in Kuwait to acquire HACCP certification for its full catering services in July 2006. The scope of the certification includes catering to inpatients meals, room service and staff service.

• New Mowasat Hospital together with the catering company provides counseling services for its inpatients upon the doctor’s request. The dietitian’s job involves the setting up of menus, then; the delivery of the right menu according to diet orders received on the diet list as well as fit in presentation and quality to the TAG policy. For example when a diabetic patient is admitted, upon the doctor’s request, the dietitian visits the patient and provides dietary counseling and education according to the calories requested.
